My image of the moon shining on Lake Cobbosseecontee in Winthrop, Maine was featured on the Maine Magazine Facebook page in October. My father-in-law has been vacationing on this lake each most summers for over 60 years!
One of my favorite shots I took of the Eiffel Tower during our trip to Paris in October.
Here are some of the great jumpers who came out to support the February 4th Jump for Joy fundraiser for the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. I’m waiting for the last few orders to come in before I tally up the donation check which will be presented to the BRAFB in honor of 9 y.o. Ryleigh Katstra, who organizes food drives on a regular basis. So glad we could support Ryleigh in her efforts and also find a fun way to fundraise for the food bank.
Remember the Baby Groucho maternity shots I did of my friend Alice a while back? Baby Groucho turned out to be a Grouchette. Welcome Elinor Grace!
I am really excited to have been published in the spring issue of Romantic Living Magazine. It was a pleasure working with writer and stylist Charlotte Safavi, Sherry Moeller of Moki Media, homeowner and interior decorator Elizabeth Gibney, and my good friend and fellow photographer Fredde Lieberman.
Better late than never right? Here are some highlights from my Richmond short session event this past fall.
One of the things I love about being a photographer is that the work can be so diverse. One day I may be photographing a family, another day I may shooting a wedding, and another day it may be interiors for an architect’s portfolio. In this case, the architect happens to be my big brother. Over the next few days I’ll be featuring his work, starting with this grand home he designed in a DC suburb. If you are interested in learning more about Bertin, his website is http://radiferadesign.com/.
Check out my interview with Ed Sykes from NBC 29 Charlottesville. It was very cool to meet him. I received over 100 pictures. Can’t wait to put my project together!
Here are some of my favorites from the DC short sessions. It was a great day. No props, just 13 families and perfect weather.
Hello Friends, As you may already know, Lauren and I are knee deep in a fundraising adventure. We’ve set out on a labor of love, set the bar high and are asking for your assistance. On October 2nd I’ll be at Explorations Play Studio all day taking my “jump” portraits to raise money for a very special little girl named Talia. She is the 4 year old daughter of one of my oldest and dearest friends, KP, and his beautiful wife Gayla. Talia has a rare and catastrophic form of epilepsy called Dravet Syndrome. There is currently no cure. Talia can have as many as 100 small seizures in one day. All we can do is hope that researchers find a way to help kids like Talia. This is why all proceeds from this event are going to the Dravet Syndrome Foundation, a non-profit that channels funds into research.
We have designed a website with more information about the “Jump for Team Talia” event. We’d love if you’d join us. If you’ve already participated in one my past “jump” portrait events, please help us spread the word by forwarding this to your friends, neighbors, co-workers, or anyone who you think may be interested in participating. If you are on Facebook please consider posting the following link. Lauren and I just posted about the event on Friday and have been amazed by the support from the community, including individuals who work in radio and the local public access tv station. We are blessed to have such a wonderful network of friends and live in such a generous community. If you have any other ideas to help us promote this fundraiser please feel free to contact either Lauren or myself.

Thank you all so much.
With much love,
Back by popular demand, I am offering my $45 short sessions. Please click the link below to find out more information. Looking forward to seeing you. Happy Fall everyone!
On August 7th, fellow photographer, Jen Fariello, and I offered our second Art of Photography workshop. I was busy teaching our participants so I didn’t have much time to actually take photographs. Here are a few I was able to catch. Our models were wonderful and we all had a great day together.
Back by popular demand…spring short sessions! I have had a great deal of interest from folks about another short session special, much like the one I ran this past fall. Half hour portrait sessions for $45…that’s a pretty great deal if I do say so myself. Right now I am getting ready to head to WPPI in Vegas with Pilot Imaging, but when I return I will set something more formal in motion. I’m thinking the weekend of April 16th should work (just in time for Mother’s Day). Call or e-mail me if you are interested or would like more information. Here are some of my favorites from the last short session. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
