I don’t want to say too much, other than my wife, Lauren, and I are working on a very special project. As a full-time working photographer, I believe it’s always a good idea to work on personal projects. The concept behind this one is still evolving, and it will take quite a while before it comes to fruition, but it will be well worth it. This is just a little taste of what is to come: Lots of Love. Many thanks to the handful of fine folks who have indulged my latest brainstorm. Robert Radifera Photography

Meet Jenny and Mario. If I had to choose two words to describe their wedding I’d say Infectious Joy. Their wedding was full of life and colorful, and by colorful I don’t just mean the purple bridemaids’ dresses. Jenny, Mario, their families and friends were the most lively and animated group of folks I’ve had the good fortune to spend a day with in a really long time. You will see for yourself! If you want to see even more of Jenny and Mario’s fab wedding you can find them on Borrowed & Blue as well as on The Knot!

Today is their first wedding anniversary and I wish them both a lifetime of love and laughter!

The one thing that rings true for all of my wedding couples, is that they are all such nice people. Not only are my couples amazing and kind and fun, but so are their families and friends! It’s true! I am such a lucky guy that I get to be around all these happy people on a regular basis. Annie and Josh are no exception. Though their wedding has already been showcased on Borrowed and Blue, as well as on the Charlottesville Wedding Blog, I wanted to still take this opportunity to put together a little post as they approach their first anniversary. Their special day was all that a wedding should be: sweet & simple, and full of love & joy. Annie was stunning and Josh was equally handsome! One of my all-time favorite wedding images is one of Annie, standing quietly at the window, next to her wedding dress (you’ll have to scroll down to find it:).

Happy 1st Anniversary Annie and Josh!

More of this wedding to come, likely with lots of commentary from my wife and partner, Lauren. The bride is the daughter of one of her closest childhood friends and I was really honored when I was asked to photograph this special day. A few more sneak peeks have been posted over on my Instagram feed, but for now I thought I’d share this image, a favorite of ours. On IG, Lauren,  wrote: “Kristina was a very laid back bride. “Very chill” was how the venue coordinator described her. All afternoon this room was full of people coming and going, getting ready, or just stopping in to say hello. But as soon as she was ready to get dressed everyone cleared out and gave Kristina and her mom time alone. I love this image Robert captured, mainly because I know how the room just buzzed with activity all day. Then suddenly it was quiet, but still full of love and emotion.”

This past April I had the pleasure to photograph ten families on a Sunday at the incredible Waterperry Farm in Free Union, VA. The threat of rain loomed over us for days beforehand, but at the last minute the rain stopped and we decided to go ahead, rain boots and all. It started off a little gray and wet (thank goodness for families who are able to roll with it), but as the day continued, I could not have asked for better weather and light. Many of these families are repeat clients and it is great to see familiar faces and to see the kids who have grown since our last photo shoot. I also met some new families and hope to see them again!
